Barkerville.. And My Frustrations With Technology

A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend took me to Barkerville Historic Town & Park to celebrate my birthday. I immediately fell in love with the town museum and am longing to return. Actually, I’m not-so-secretly planning to move in and live the old-timey life on a permanent basis. But with better hygiene, obviously.

But before I do this, I’ve got several posts that I plan to share here. The problem is that I’m struggling to get all of the photos off of my camera into Google Photos. I’ve tried uploading several times only to discover that there are chunks of photos missing. I can see them on my camera – but they aren’t appearing in Google Photos. I’m not what one would call “technologically inclined” so I’m left frustrated and wanting to pull my hair out and scream and kick and throw things and spit and cry (and write run-on sentences, apparently). But I promise that I will perservere and figure this out if it kills me.

In the meantime, here’s my newest favourite creature – the Columbian Ground Squirrel. They run rampant in Barkerville and are the bane of existence of anyone working there. But to a city dweller like me, I wanted to catch them all to bring home as pets.

BECAUSE LOOK AT IT!

And just like that my blood pressure has dropped down to normal levels.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. From the distance land of Australia, I’m with you on that gorgeousness of that squirrel. Personally, I can’t understand why anyone has problems with squirrels. They’re so cute!!
    Best wishes,
