Sir Winston Churchill

In the garden at Petit Palais is a bronze statue of Sir Winston Churchill which depicts his victory march down the Champs Elysées with French wartime leader Charles de Gaulle at the end of WWII.

The statue, in my lowly opinion, perfectly captures Churchill. The only thing missing is Churchill’s ubiquitous cigar.

Quite fitting is that the road this statue faces was renamed Winston Churchill Avenue, after he passed away, as further tribute to his war time efforts as an Allied force.
