Change of Scenery

For a change of scenery this afternoon, my boyfriend and I decided to take a drive over to the North Shore.

First we went to the lookout up Cypress Mountain.

It was freezing cold. Quite literally, just look at the snow on the ground. So it only made sense that our next stop was somewhere we could get a warm drink. We ended up at Temper Chocolate & Pastry in Dundarave Village.

Stephanie and I have a rule and only post about places we like, so I’m torn on this one. The service was terrible (rude teenagers with an obvious disdain for serving people and should be fired kind of terrible) .. but the coffee and pastries were nice and Temper’s saving grace.

With my cappuccino I had something called a Potica (which looks nothing like what you find online if you google it) that reminded me of the delicious Kouign-amann I had in France, but with nuts added.

Not quite ready to head home, we drove around West Vancouver basically chasing the views.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and got up to some fun yourself.

We’re Marla and Stephanie, two friends separated by a 12 hour drive but not much else. We love to travel. We also love food.
